Gilded two part brass uniform button from the Confederate States Navy. Front of the button shows a fouled anchor atop crossed cannons with the acronym ‘CSN’ below with a rope border. The back of the button reads, ‘Firmin & Sons – 153 Strand London – & 13 Conduit St’. Approximately 1 inch in diameter. Manufactured in England for the Confederate Navy in England by Firmin & Sons, military ornament manufacturers, intended for Confederate officers
