Historic relic, fragment of a roof tile recovered by a historian at the grounds of Carinhall, Herman Goering’s large hunting estate. According to the included provenance, this piece was recovered in April 1992 in the overgrown forest on the property. The entire structure was destroyed in April 1945 under Goering’s order before the Russian Army arrived in the area. Carinhall was located in Schorfheide, 90 miles north of Berlin. The irregular-shaped roof title fragment is approx. 4.5 x 2.5 inches. Black and white image as reference, not included. With letter of provenance.
