WWI U.S. MARINES RECRUITMENT POSTER
Original American recruitment poster for the U.S. Marines – ‘U.S. Marines – Soldiers of the Sea – Good Pay – Foreign Travel – Congenial Employment’, undated, circa 1917, 38.75 x 28.5 inches. Printed on heavy paper. The center artwork in color is surrounded by twenty b/w photographs showing the Marines at Guantanamo, Cuba; in Beijing, China; in Nicaragua; on board a ship; playing baseball and football; drills, etc. Two 1.5-inch tears at bottom edge, with old tape repair on verso, creases. Very good.
