(1894-1987) Deputy of Fuhrer and convicted at Nuremberg and serving a life sentence in Spandau Allied Prison, until he supposedly committed suicide by hanging with an extension cord in 1987, which has been disputed by his lawyer and his son. Official Spandau Allied Prison Berlin envelope addressed to his wife, Ilse Hess, in Hindelang, Allgau. The envelope is dated 11. January 1957. Verso bears the ‘Official Allied Prison Spandau’ stamp. Envelope has two file holes. 4.5 x 6.25 inches. Provenance: From the estate of Ilse Hess.
