May Militaria & Autographs Auction
Lot of 25 photos of Naval Marine helicopter 302 being rescued by Naval crews and personal photos. Approx. 2.25 x 2.25 inches. The photos show the helicopter being flown in the air and then the helicopter, which is now damaged, being moved onto trucks. It’s possible that the 302 was part of a training squadron which trains new Marine and Naval aviators. Included in lot is two 8 x 10 inches photos of the USS Lake Champlain in the Hudson Bay. Photos are undated but likely post-WWII. Also included is an old ad for Pepsodent. All items are from the estate of Frank and Elizabeth Kramar, United States Navy and Marine Corps veterans. Frank was an Aviation Machinist’s Mate and Elizabeth was an AX Senior Staff. Frank was awarded three bronze stars in 1966 and together they retired with a combined 48+ years of service. They will soon come to rest at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
