LUFTWAFFE FLAK BOMBING COLOGNE PHOTOS (2)
Two custom printed black-and-white photographs of German anti-aircraft guns in action. The photographs come with the transmittal envelope and were sent to the ‘Luftgaukommander IV’ Munster/Westfalen. The envelope is marked ‘Koelner Luftangriffe’ (Bombing of Cologne). The first 1,000 bomber raid by the RAF was conducted on Cologne on the night of 30/31 May 1942 and codenamed Operation Millennium, the envelope is canceled in July 1942. Photographs are 7 x 9.5 inches (18 x 24 cm), unusual large high quality custom prints, backstamped ‘Uffz Werner L251121 Lg.P Munster’, minor creases. Very good!
