German WWII white porcelain enamel steel sign ‘Blood and Soil’ (Blut und Boden). The sign bears the logo of the Reich Ministry of Food and Agriculture, reading ‘Reichsnahrstand Ortsbauernfuhrer’, the local farmers’ leader office. The sign is 14 x 16 inches big, enameled with white porcelain on the front, some of the enamel is missing, mounting holes in each corner, slightly convex. Maker marked on the bottom margin. Some surface oxidation on the back where the enamel is missing and around the mounting holes. Else very good, and heavy.
