Historical Militaria & Autographs
Excellent relic, chunk of camouflage netting, 3.5 x 1.5 inches, recovered from Adolf Hitler’s ‘Berghof’, his mountain home and headquarters at the Obersalzberg near Berchtesgaden in Bavaria. Several pieces from the original camouflage netting which was used to conceal the building from Allied air attacks during the winter of 1944/45. This relic was recovered in 1999 when the Bavarian government order the clearing of all remaining ruins at the Fuhrersperrgebiet. Very nicely set into a white shadow box with a photograph of the Berghof covered in camouflage in the background, ready for display. 8.75 x 8.75 inches. With a letter of provenance.
