Personal album with many drawings and hand-drawn captions, documenting ski training courses for members 4. Flakdivision. The owner of the album writes on page one: ‘I was transferred on 15.1.43 from the 1./Tel. Bau Abt. z.b.V. in Vouziers, Ardennes to the 4. Flakdivision, Ratingen/Rhld. From there I was immediately commandeered to Schroecken, Vorarlberg to Mountain and Ski camp of the 4. Flakdivision as a Ski instructor.’ The album contains approx. 217 b/w photographs, 22 pages, approx. 9 x 13 inches. Many photographs of skiing in the mountains, mountains views, candid portraits, plus a few modern prints replacing the missing originals. A postwar address label of HANNO VON KEMNITZ, one of the ski instructors pictured in the album, is applied to the front cover.
