ROME 1960 SUMMER OLYMPICS PARTICIPATION MEDAL
Bronze Olympic medal presented to the participants of the 1960 game. Designed by Professor Emilio Greco and minted by Bertoni of Milan. The obverse features a nude female torchbearer superimposed over Olympic rings. The reverse depicts a flight of eagles rising from the Olympic Stadium of Rome and disappearing in the sky, inscribed ‘Giochi Della XVII Olimpiade/ Roma MCMLX.’ 2 inches in diameter.
