IMPERIAL GERMAN WWI PRUSSIAN HELMET PLATE

Helmet front plate, a spread winged eagle wearing a King’s crown, holding a sword and a staff. The inscription reads ‘Mit Gott Fuer Koenig Und Vaterland’ (With God for King and Fatherlnad). Applied is a separate guard star with an eagle in the center and the inscription ‘Suum Cuique’. The reverse has two eyelets for attaching to the front of a helmet. Two-piece steel construction. Approx. 9.5 in. wide by 4.5 inches.
