Rare early WWI French Citron Foug hand grenade model 1915. A defensive grenade, cast iron, shaped like a lemon, hence its nickname, with an outer grid pattern. As early as April 1915, a factory in Foug, France, began to produce these simple grenades. The example offered here is painted black and features a three-quarter inch hole on one side, less likely from corrosion, more like a smaller explosion, very good.
