Two blank pages, 10.5 x 8.25 in., of official letterhead of the French Legion of Fighters ‘Legion Francaise Des Combattants Hotel De Seville – Vichy’ displaying the insignia at top with file holes at top. Vichy France was headed by Marshal Philippe Petain during World War II. The regime established some paramilitary organizations, a notable example was the ‘Legion Francaise des Combattants’ (French Legion of Fighters), including at first only former combatants, but quickly adding ‘Amis de la Legion’ and cadets of the Legion, who had never seen battle, but who supported Petain’s regime.
