(1895 – 1970) Marshal of the Soviet Union. After serving as Stalin’s first chief commander, Timoshenko served as overall commander at Stalingrad, Leningrad, Caucasus, and on the Baltic fronts. Partly-printed document signed as head of the Belorussian Military District, 4pp., 11.5 x 8 in., 1952, an attestation of the Commander of the 164th Guards Infantry Regiment colonel Ivan Kozyarenko. The signature of Comrade Timoshenko is at the bottom of the third page in blue ink. 1 in. tear at the top left edge, small file holes at left edge from binding, else very good.
