Historical Militaria and Autographs
(1893 – 1981) American general of World War II who commanded forty-three divisions and 1.3 million men, the largest body of American soldiers ever to serve under a single field commander. He was later Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. TLS on his personal five-star letterhead, August 5, 1968, 1 page, 10.5 x 7.25 in., in part: ‘I have autographed and dated the paper which you enclosed with your letter…I will be unable to meet with you and your friend…as I now live on the west coast…my time is pretty well occupied when I do come to New York.’ signed in blue ink, ‘Omar N Bradley’. Mailing folds in fine condition.
