German WWII bronze fob, reading ‘DEUTSCHER TAG NEW YORK 1935 VDG’ (German Day New York 1935 VDG), sold by the pro-Nazi German-American Bund, a hectagonal one-sided fob or medal 1.25 in. (34mm) wide, an eagle with a small swastika upon its chest with the American flag above it. Rare medal, or fob, to commemorate the "Deutscher Tag" on 6.10.1935 at Madison Square Garden. Hosted by the "Vereinigten Deutschen Gesellschaften von Gross News York" (VDG). The ‘German Day’ celebrations commemorated the arrival of the first German settlers on U.S. territory. The photograph is for illustration purposes only. Very good.
